Planning Upgrades - Why replace BOV/WG?
I'm planning some upgrades for next winter to include, probably, cams, turbo, intercooler, equal length headers, light weight clutch, and possibly new P'c and C's, porting, and head studs.
I already have a stock WG with 1.0 bar spring. What is the benefit of replacing the stock WG with, say, a Tial of the same pressure? What is the benefit of replacing the stock BoV housing etc and going with a longneck intercooler and putting in an aftermarket BoV elsewhere in the system? Cheers |

I think it's been proven that the Tial has no performance benefit over stock. They are quite a bit lighter though. I went with a Tial only b/c mine was leaking. Kinda the same story with the recirc.
valve. You're not going to experience any noticeable performance gains with that mod alone but, you'll open up a whole lot of real estate making it way easier to get to the plugs on the d/s. It will also allow you the option to run a full bay i/c depending on weather or not you have a/c

same as above.
the fatory WG is very good but very heavy. mine was leaking past the valve guided and there is no repair kit for it. i did not have a BOV?DV so i added one.
