I have two different front calipers??

In the middle of taking my front suspension apart for winter refresh and noticed I have two different calipers. One with large fins which I believe is correct of the 78/79 turbo.. the other one looks newer and says brembo on the back of the caliper. Am I correct in assuming the caliper was replaced in the 80s or later? Guessing I will be selling the newer caliper and searching out a big fin caliper to have matching ones

Does the 85 and 86 give away the year of production?

Thanks for the help in advance!

Yep...looks like you have a later caliper. I had the same set up on the rear of my 79. One of the original calipers developed a leak at the bleeder. I bought a set of used ones from an '86 but only used the one I needed.

Thanks for the confirmation! Guess I'll be shopping for a 78/9 font caliper now..

Or you could sell those old things that probably need expensive rebuilding and upgrade to newer ones like monoblock one piece 993TT calipers that cost less than used 930 calipers, have no through bolts that flex, and stop the car better.

I think they come in black or silver on other Porsches too. Cayenne maybe?
930 calipers are way over priced and they aren't all that great anymore.

Yes agreed they're way to expensive.. but want to stick with the stock calipers. I'll probably just stick with using these unless I can find the "correct" one. These work and stop me good enough.
