Leask RPM Solenoid Switch Question
I'm putting the turbo SC back together, after a long layoff. I had the RPM solenoid switch in my hand, and was able to blow through the vacuum ports, with no power applied. This leads me to believe the air path is normally open, and closes when powered? And then, when the RPM is reached according to the pill, it opens again? Sound right? If not, I have a problem.
TIA Pat

Some Pierburg vacuum switches or changeover valves have 3 vacuum line connections. I don't know what vacuum solenoid you have.
You can email Brian Leask. |

Thanks, JF. I need to just find the instructions! I have two vacuum line connections. IIRC, the MSD device has a NO and NC wiring option. I guess tomorrow I can power up the vacuum switch and see if it closes the port.

Yay, I found the instructions. Looks like power to the Pierburg valve closes the port.
