Cold idle rpm?

Hey guys, best for the New Year to you.

For a '79 930, what idle do you like immediately after engine is cold started?

its not really a matter of what WE like. the way CIS is designed is you set the idle once warm, then the aux air reg raises the idle based on how much it opens.
i have never checked the opening based on any temps as to if or at what temp it open all the way.

After removing the pierburg changeover valves and adjusting some things including advancing idle speed igntion timing and bending the two mechanical advance stop tabs inward a little so full mechanical advance is the same as stock mine starts up instantly stone cold and idles at 1100 rpms perfectly smooth.

Then idle drops to 800 rpms after a couple minutes when the cold start aux air valve closes and stops bypassing air around the throttle body. The aux air valve can be adjusted too if needed.

I'm getting 2000 rpm for just under 30 seconds and then it drops to 1000.
