Need help on pricing a twin turbo setup

Fellow members, I have decided to upgrade my twin Turbo setup and electronic fuel injection management system. I thought I would post the old parts here on Pelican but I really have no idea as to the value of these parts.

I was hoping some of you who have experience with these items could chime in and provide me with your input regarding a suggested selling price before I post them in the classified section. This would be much appreciated.

Here are the items I have:

Twin Turbo setup off of a 1993 3.6 liter Porsche 964. This system was originally designed by and installed by Essa Tech located in South Florida, around the year 2000. The car was used as a weekend toy and really has very little mileage on it. The system was operating perfectly in connection with an Autronics SM2 system which I have for sale either in conjunction with or separate from with this package.

See video of engine in operation before engine was removed in September 2015.

The reason I am selling the system is that it does not have the capacity for heat or defrosters so I am modifying the system and basically starting from scratch. This package represents a very good opportunity for someone to get into the Turbo game for relatively low cost. It will work on any 3.0, 3.2, 3.3 or 3.6 engine.

Headers

The system is based around custom 1 3/4 inch stainless steel headers which are set up for dual waste gates (not included) and dual turbochargers. The exterior dimension of the headers where they go into the head is 1.750 inches.

Turbochargers

The system includes 2 excellent condition Turbonetics 54 turbos set up with -AN fittings on the drains and a custom sump/catch can with matching fittings. Custom dual exhaust tips are fitted to the exhaust ports.

Intake manifold

The induction system is based around a custom designed by Essa Tech which includes dual throttle bodies from a 3.2 L engine (part number 930. 110. 530. 0R). The intercooler piping includes a set up for dual Tial pop off valves (not included in package). Beautiful custom twin aluminum intercoolers. Includes 2 K&N RE-0930 3 inch filters - as new condition.

Crank position sensor

The crank position sensor is located on the distributor which has a mounting point for a pickup sensor (not included in package). The distributor is from a 1993 3.6 L Porsche 964 Turbo (part number 965. 602. 024. 00).

Fuel injectors

The system was operating perfectly with 6 Siemens 3105 injectors which are included. They are rated at 83 lbs/hour, 850 cc at 43.5 psi.

Additional items needed

You will need to add new waste gates, new pop off valves and a crank position sensor pickup for the distributor. The system does not include the fuel injection rails. You will also need to locate the silicone connectors for the intercooler tubing and the appropriate clamps. The system also does not include the adapters from the intake port to the intake manifold. These items are all standard sizes and should not be difficult to locate.

ENGINE MANAGEMENT

I am also going to be selling the entire Autronics SM2 system as I am going to replace it with a new Motec M130 system.

Complete Autronics EFI system

This system was installed in my 3.6 L twin Turbo setup which is also currently for sale, and was operating perfectly. I believe the entire system was installed in the year 2000.

Included is the Autronics SM2 EFI controller, Autronics 500R Direct Fire CDI box, GReddy Profec_A electronic boost controller with manual.

Also included are an Innovate Motorsport digital air/fuel ratio meter, Auto Meter electronic fuel pressure gauge, Auto Meter exhaust temperature gauge and the complete wiring harness.

I have the complete software manual for the Autronics SM2 EFI controller and 2 copies of the software discs including the saved tune for the twin turbo 3.6 L set up with which it was operating.

Once again, I would appreciate any input as to what the Turbo system is worth by itself, the value of the EFI system by itself and perhaps what the 2 systems might be worth when sold together. Everything will be placed for sale once I receive some input on this issue.

Thank you in advance for your input.

Um.....holy crap, that's a sweet kit! Don't think it'll fit any 3.3's (headers that is)?

Very nice set up. Why didn't you just fabricate a heat system around your headers?

Tippy, yes the exhaust ports on my engine been opened up for increased flow. Whoever would like to use these would need to either have porting done and open up their exhaust ports or create an adapter/reducer from the size of their exhaust port to the size of the ID of the header tube.

Porsche 935, due to the configuration of the headers it would be extremely difficult to fabricate and weld in place an effective heat exchanger box that would work properly. We thought of that before we went to this option.

By the way, this system put out over 600 hp on pump gas in its last configuration.

This is a tough call since it's all custom. I'd say an around $5k for the turbo system? Those headers and intakes are works of art by themselves.

I could totally off base, but I don't someone would think it's too high?

What were the costs new?

You take a left gnad?? I'd lop mine off right about now for your kit.

I don't know what the system cost new but it was all custom fabricated. I know that it was very expensive and the prior owner had extensive head work done to optimize the system.

I think the big money probably is in the headers and the intake but I was thinking somewhere about one half of the figure you had suggested, because it is used.

Porsche Crest twin turbo system

Hi I would be interested in turbos, intercoolers, exhaust headers and wastegates.. I have individual throttle bodies and an Autronics SM4 so you may have someone else that is after the rest..

930 twin - thanks for the interest. I me and up parting it out if I cannot sell the entire turbo system together. However, the intercoolers and intake manifold do have the ducting which connects them so nicely so it would be sort of a shame to separate them.

Once I get some input on what I should ask for the set up I will try to sell everything as a package in the classified forum, at least the turbo parts in one package and the engine management/EFI in another ad. Certainly, if I cannot sell the entire turbo system together I would be happy to talk to you about breaking the system apart.
