Help please. RarlyL8 swap

I am trying to swap out a driver side exit to a center out. Have removed clamp from last section of pipe, but does not budge. Is there a trick to getting it off? Need to be warm? Will drink beers and hope someone has a solution. Thanks in advance

I have my RarlyL8 headers off right now and they were super tight to get apart at the slip joints. I just twisted them back and forth and got them off. But you could probably use a little penetrating oil or something similar? Or fire up the car and get them a little warm. It's a lot harder to get apart with part of the system still attached to the motor. I recommend a beer or few as well

A little heat from a heat gun or propane torch aimed towards the larger diameter pipe in the slip joint might help. You could also keep a rag wet with cold water around the narrower pipe so it doesn't get as hot and expand as much.
When putting them back together some nickel base ultra high temp anti seize smeared on the slip joint pipes might make them easier to get apart next time.

Snug fitting double wall slip joints are a good thing.

That's the beauty of 321 stainless, it is maleable before heat cycling then seals up and turns very hard with use. If you leave the muffler bolted to the turbo you should have enough leverage to wiggle it off. If not then chemical penitrating oil overnight should do it. Before re-assembly you will need to polish the surfaces as they are small tolerance.

Have played with this for a while. Fabspeed had there zork tube on sale for basically $100, down from $300.00, took the plunge. Just trying to clean up the rear end look. Was surprised at the sound difference. The RarlyL8 Outlaw pipe is much deeper, aggressive, which I prefer.

I was never able to remove the Rarly sections myself, shop removed and the Fabspeed zork installed. Would still like to try the Rarly center out. Anyone ever needs a shop in this part of the country, Rennsport in Tulsa are a great bunch of guys.

Gorgeous 930!
Wheels look great! It looks like your rear reflector has no Porsche script at all, is that right? I don't think I've seen a blank one before.
Yes any tailpipe length added to the straight pipe will abate the raw tone and quiet it down a bit. I like the center out best as it throws sound volume behind you so in the cabin you get all the cool noises without all the volume.

Wheels are from Fikse. I think previously Zuffenhaus. 235/40/17 front, 315/35/17 rear. Porsche script is present on rear reflector, just the pic angle. Brian, if you see this, was really disappointed to lose the sound I had with the Outlaw pipe. Not sure if I am not hearing because of the rear exit now.

The burble is not the same either. Outlaw was like the 4th of July, so much fun. Just had a tone all the way through that was a blast. Gonna take a break and play with it this summer.

Car did not look like this when I purchased. $450.00 and a good detail shop transformed the paint. Was amazing what they accomplished. Cannot stress how much they brought the paint back. Hot summer days and a lot of Connolly hide food brought the leather back to almost new condition. Smear it on, park overnight in a hot garage, wipe off the next morning. A couple cycles of that, new leather.

Thank God for a good shop for the mechanicals. I screw up fixing a toilet. New clutch, lines, etc... Still chit my pants when going for a drive. What a blast!
