Another of Mark's boring ass videos

Testing out a windshield mounted camera, on one of my favorite roads that has just been completely rebuilt from the ground up. Not even any lines painted yet. Although it's hard to tell, most of this short run was done at a meager 80, but of course we accidentally passed triple digits for a short spell or two when my right foot had an uncontrollable spasm. It's all about scenery anyway.

Look at 3:25 into the video and you'll see one of Washington states licensed pot farms (well, just a camper but trust me there are 10 foot plants growing behind a secure fence mit der security cameras etc). Probably don't want to fark with those guys, even though it's "legal" now.

That is Washington state? Must be East of the mountain range yes?

Hi Mark, your video is nice to watch. Incredible scenery wow... where I am it's flat, boring, hot, and humid. Curvy roads and hills do not exist.
I hope you didn't get any stone chips in your rocker panels and fender flares from that newly paved road.

Nice! And not another car in sight. Those road bocks came up in a hurry though
I'm surprized they didn't bother to slap up a warning sign.
Go Hawks !

yep, the east side of the Cascade mountains, dead center in the state, the semi arid region. Not a pine tree to be found. The road is in great shape, not a smidgen of gravel on it (Jim) except for going around the road block (where good brakes come in handy). I've been on this road a couple times since it was finished but the first in the 930.

New roads are awesome alright. They built one across the mountain dumping into my neighborhood a few years back and for about a year it seemed to be my personal mini Pikes Peak. My goal was tripling the posted speed limit. So much fun until population killed it.

Fantastic scenery.
As pkabush said - I can't believe there wasn't a warning sign for the road block - the pitch of your voice goes up a little when you see the barrier coming up!

Jeez, do you think Michigan can have one of your old roads? Maybe they could just roll it up and bring it over? The condition of your old road is better than our new roads.

Looks like rattle snake territory, stayed in that area while on vacation when I was a kid.
The park ranger warned us about snakes on the pavement in the morning, do you see many where you are?

Rattlesnakes.....aka buzzworms. I haven't seen one for about 5 years but yeah, they're around occasionally. Best time is early evening when they crawl out on the roads to soak up the residual heat on the pavement. It seems that over the years we have less and less of them.

My dad lives in Arizona, he says they don't see near as many now either.
