Engine stand with adapter.
Hi guys.
Thought i'd start stripping my engine for headstud replacement and full efi installation on my 79 930. Bought a standard engine stand and also an adapter from our host. Whats needed to mount that to the engine. Can i use the tranny bolts? Also, last time the engine was out i never managed to separate the tranny from the engine. Tried to find the answer searching but not getting through to me ![]() Hoping for som answers and will post pics when things come together 👍 |

You have to release the throw out bearing before it will separate

When you disconnect the clutch cable before you pull it go ahead and remove the arm and the spring. Also remember the studs for the starter also hold the transmission to the engine.
