Lin's old car.. ok, Larry from SC. Thought it was sold to someone in Texas.. now in OK for sale? Funny how these cars move around.

Buyers tell you oh, I want-I want.. its going to a loving home and 6 months to a year you see it on ebay or BaT.

yeah, Larry's a good dude. I met him at his house in SC when I picked up the 3.4 engine in my car. Sad to see a fun toy change hands again....

His old 3.4 that came out of the black beast is still running strong.

Drove down and back solo over a weekend... wish I had more time to visit with him.

He's a good guy.

^^^^ I would love to pick up something like this to blast around in and make the Chevy guys scratch there heads: LS 427 It would have to be worth the money though, wouldn't have to be a 930 or 70g's.

The problem with it, is they "know the sounds of their people".....

Meaning, they'd know it's an LSX motor for sure. No faking an H6 in there....

im still in the fray but at 77 it is getting more difficult. i still have my 911 with the all aluminum dart sbc....434 cubic inch with efi...it is not a powerful as the 930 but a respectable 550 plus chp. i got sidetracked a couple of years ago and reverted back to my first love...austin healeys. as a matter of fact i bought one that was pictured on this forum. my first v8 conversion was in 1968 while stationed at ft sill ok...a 1959 bn6 that i put a ford 289 and three speed into. the picture below is also a 1959 bn6 but it has a chevrolet zz4 motor and lots of my time and dollars!!!

Larry,

Glad to see you are still here man!!

I am looking to do something similar in the near future. My mother and her husband are real big into the British car club up here so I am considering doing a TR6 with a modern drivetrain, brakes and suspension.

Larry, I'm about 45 minutes away from you and also an Austin-Healey enthusiast, hence my forum name: ahenthus. My first love has been healeys for around 45 years. I say first love but I've been a Porsche enthusiast since the 930 made its debut. Purchasing my 930 five years ago was a long time dream come true. My first Porsche was a 1986 NA 944 that I did a tourist delivery on in November 1985. It was great driving all over Europe in the 944 but my real love was the 930 that I couldn't afford then. I'd love to visit you and see your Healey and Porsche. I was never into the nasty boy Healeys but I had a good relationship with Leroy Joppa. I had many conversations with him over the years and talked at length with him at Lake Tahoe in 2002. I was president of the Atlanta Healey Club at the time. I'm retired and living in the Upstate now. My 930 is a nice, well modified one but that's the way I bought it. My main mechanic work nowadays is on small vintage motorcycles.

great you're still on here Larry, I remember your blue car well and now that you mention it think I recall you saying something about your Healey here in the past

have fun with 'em!
