Msd coil, what else is needed

I want to upgrade my coil , I already have retrofit classic CDI and have ordered their coil to try but want to try an MSD blaster as well...I see people suggest you upgrade the cap, rotor and gap the plugs wider. Does anyone have these part numbers for which cap and rotor to use and what size gap to use with this set up . Thanks

its not the coil that makes it hard on the ignition its the fact the MSD CD puts out a higher voltage to begin with. its also the power that it provides. MSD also has the multiple spark thing going on.

a coil is just a multiplier. AFAIK they are all around 100 to 1. bosch, permadoom, MSD.

I would talk to the guy at retrofit(if its who I think it is). nice guy and he can explain it to you.
the MSD coil has very low resistance compared to the bosch coils.

Stock cap is fine, with MSD you need a rotor w/o a resistor, not sure about your setup. I run .035 gap, some run wider.

you wont see an improvement with an MSD coil if that Is what you are after.
