And so it begins
![]() ![]() The plan was to convert this car back to a standard front end and also to get it running right. I got started on the engine - new plugs, wires, rotor, valve adjustment. When diving into the insides of the motor I found these. ![]() Since I already had all of the rest of this stuff off I decided to just pull the engine. ![]() ![]() ![]() I didn't have the appropriate jacks so off to Harbor Freight I went and came home with these. ![]() About $350 lighter in the wallet. I got everything unhooked. I got tired of getting smacked with half shafts so I took them out all the way. Then underneath the car the jacks went. I got everything hooked up and ready and pulled it out. ![]() ![]() ![]() With a little help from a friend it was on the ground in just a few minutes. It was a whole lot easier than any Chevy engine I ever pulled. |

perfect weight distribution.
i thought this only worked for trucks. i was smarter than ronnie, i turned my computer upside down. you must have done them with your phone. my phone does that too. even though they look right on my phone they can upload upside down. strange thing is even if i rotate them on my phone they still upload upside down.

Many people are!
![]() Well, that's a good way to look at it! I'm glad you're a good sport about all **** slinging I've given you about that subject, too! ![]() If I posted pics then that would surely cause inadequacy-induced depression among my Turbo brethren!!! ![]() |

Ronnie, there's only one glaring inadequacy manifesting itself in this thread. Perhaps you should manifest it by clearing the headlight bucket tubes in your car, whilst one of the q-tip crowd holds it for good measure.

When you take a pic using your phone or iPad(if in the horizontal position..the phone not you) make sure the select button(the one used to snap the photo) is on the right side...otherwise when you load up the photos the will be upside down. For the op try to invert the photos on your phone(or iPad) then reload them. Hopefully that should fix it.
Oh and good luck on your project..sounds like fun ![]()

![]() The above picture is uploaded right side up. The next one has been rotated before uploading so that it is upside down. ![]() Regardless of how the pictures appear, I need to know how to get the big nuts off the end of the cam shafts without buying a bunch of special tools. |
