Wires to lose when fitting PMO carbs to 911SC
I am fitting PMO carbs to my sons 911SC, I am wondering which wires I can discard and whether they should simply be cut out of the loom
Thanks for any help in advance!

I would not cut anything out of the loom. I'd cover up and loose connectors that might carry current. I use black self amalgamating tape. Works well as long as it doesn't touch hot metal. Then I'd use waxed lacing cord to neatly tie up and tuck away any unused wiring and connectors making sure it won't chafe through due to vibration. If you need to replace any hardened, broken, or missing sleeving, I like the oil/flame/heat resistant woven fiberglass "snake skin" sleeving. I get it from Prowireusa.com.

^^^ Good option.
I wouldn't want to cut any wires. I removed the tape from my '78 motor's harness, removed all the wires I didn't need with my carbs, then re-wrapped the remaining harness in tape.

Carb Conversion - Wiring with Electromotive XDi
May not be directly related since I went to an XDi ignition - but here's how I went about sorting the engine bay wiring on my '83 SC.
