Recommisioning a 1971 911t
So, I lived in Philly and found a one owner 1971 911t. I shipped it back to the UK and then I moved back a couple of years ago. The car has been sitting in a garage.
So the plan was to keep it until my current projects are done and then restore it but it was a running driving car when I bought it so I decided to get it running and drive it! So, I had the carbs rebuilt in the US, lovely job. What else should I do before trying to start it? Thanks for any advice. |

You have to check , rebuild , or replace the timing chain tensioners and replace the chain guides if they are the original rubber type .

so, I was going to replace spark plugs, rotor, distributor cap, contact points, cam cover gaskets, oil etc
Also, after my carb rebuild I will need gaskets between the carbs and manifolds plus manifolds to heads. The diagrams are not very clear so I am trying to work out part numbers - anyone? |
