Nut in left timing chain housing

Does anyone know if the nut in the left case timing chain housing needs a washer with it? I am about to put the two cases together and Wayne's book doesn't mentioned a washer but just the nut.

The 10 mm nut requires a washer, basically, all nuts require washers.
On 77 and earlier the thread is 10x1.75 like the through bolts
On 78 and later the thread is 10x1.0.like the through bolts
