I don't think they are available any more. Andial used to offer 98mm P&Cs for the 3.0 Upgrade that were 9.5:1 CR and came in a carb or injection version. These were made by Mahle and were pretty much the same as the Max Moritz upgrade. Unfortunately Andial recently said that the sets that were coming in had a lower CR (8.5:1) and they didn't expect to receive any more in the future.
You have two options... Go with the 10.5:1 CR Mahle P&Cs from Andial (which would require twin-plugging your cylinder heads) Or you can contact EBS Racing and have a set of J&E Pistons that are about the same as the Mahles. They can set you up with a set of cylinders that will match the pistons as well. Good luck! Regards,

I am currently in the middle of a rebuild, and could not locate the M.M. set anywhere, including in Germany. There may be a set out there, however it may take some time a patience to locate.

Hi,
I am also in the middle of a 3.2L short stroke upgrade, and I bought some Mahle P&Cs from Andial in Feburary of this year. I had to wait a few weeks for a shipment to arrive (Mahle were having problems getting the rings), but I have them now. They are listed on the invoice as part number AND 103 983 98 (3.2L CIS from 3.0L Piston/Cylinder). Peter from Andial quoted them as 9.8:1 CR. Mark |

These will work well for a 3.2 short stroke running CIS cams. These will not work well with an agressive cam for carbs.
They have a different part number for the carb-optimized version of these P&Cs that can accept a more aggressive cam. The carbed version of this kit Andial was having problems (and still is) getting in. They probably won't according to them. Good luck with the upgrade!

Karl,
That's a relief. I will be retaining the CIS, but have already had the cams reground to 964 profile. I believe this profile still works with CIS. Regards Mark |
