Tiny chip at the top of liner
Gentleman, thoughts on the inner top corner chip in this liner? Pulled the heads to address a concern at a different cylinder and found this, no doubt from detonation. Leak down on this cylinder was 4%. Outer area looks fine of course

I think I'd source another cylinder.
Am I seeing things or does one cylinder have a CE ring and the damaged cylinder does not? They look like two different types of cylinders. If both have CE rings, the damaged one is definitely knackered.

Yup. Both have CE rings. No idea where the cylinders came from as it’s not my build, rather just a local racer needing work on the thing. Strange it shows suck little leakage at 100psi, of course that could be amplified at combustion temps/high psi.
