Porsche 911 S 1972 strange engine numbers
Hi,
Bought a 1972 911 S I purchased it in the states and it was new delivered in Washington…. That’s the only history I got with the car …. Previous owner is a dealer and he has sadly no history anymore…..It has widened front and rear wings and a huge RSR rear tail and looks like a race car …. The engine number 632xxxx 911/53 is matching with the car but it sits on Weber carbs. When opening the engine I discovered 92 mm Arias pistons, 38 mm intake ports on cylinder heads, con rods reworked to maximum piston height, balanced crank, rods etc I had all the parts cleaned and blasted and discovered some strange inscriptions in the engine block on the flywheel side in neighborhood of the mechanical injection mount. It states following: COMP 8477 B 010 Does this relate to the engine builder? And if so anyone an idea who built it and what are the specs.? Thanks, |

The numbers stamped on the case are from the machine shop.
Competition Engineering 8477 is the job number B 010 is either align bore amount or the amount they took off the spigot to cylinder mating surface. |
