Question How much Loctite should i get

Loctite 574 is sold in 25 ml bottles here, seems very little. How much do i need to assembly the whole engine ??

25ml should be plenty.When you use loctite you only use a drop or two on threaded prtion of the bolt.

Edit... ooops I though you meant loctite thread red.. not the case sealer

Ok, sorry, the Loctite 574 is to be used as case sealant when mating the case halves together and cams etc. As recommended by the book..

Hi Peter,
They sell 574 in 50ml bottles here. That should be ample, especially when you spread it as per factory instructions (ie: thinly, with a tiny, velour roller.)

PS: The stuff I promised to send you was mailed on Monday.

Thanks Doug,

Will order two bottles then, dont want to run out in the middle of the assembly.

Still waiting by the mailbox but I know it takes over a week sometimes. Will let you know when it arrives.
