Replacing cylinders and pistons with engine on a table.

Hi guys, I'm about to put another set of pistons and cylinders into my engine which is on a hydraulic table right now, and since I don't have the needed engine stand yoke or the adapter needed to hang the engine on the engine stand (and can't find it anywhere where I live), do you think its possible to do that job with the engine setting on the table ? or do I really need to spend that much money into the tool and shipping (very expensive) to do it with the engine on a stand?

I’ve done more than few total builds in the distant past on a table. It’s just so much easier with the correct tools and a stand. Good luck!

Anything can be done of course, but it sure makes it easier mating the case halves to be able to rotate so you're doing the operation vertically instead of horizontally, and rotate as needed to do cylinders, heads, etc.

Just doing P/C set replacement should be easy enough on the table. I would never attemtp to assemble a bottom end on a table....

Cheers

I know guys its a cheap tool for you, but for me it will be at least twice as expensive by the time it reaches here, the shipping prices become very expensive!

Standard everyday engine stand works just fine if you have one, or can beg or borrow one.

Table

I made a wooden cradle. Then did it on the kitchen table. Split the cases. I didn't find any issues at all.
