Forged On A Budget

I'm gathering up parts for my rebuild. Have a 2.0L E that I would like to build to S spec +.
On a budget and am looking for forged pistons and rods. Can get a set of Ross pistons for under $600.
Any one ever used them? Any positive or negative feedback?
Also planning on Pauter rods. Any feedback with them?

Just stay away from Motormeister (a source of Ross pistons). Do a search on MM on this list or the 911 list for more info.

If thats your budget you should keep an eye out for some used items.

Thanks for the heads up Chris.
Was going to purchase S cams from them.

Looks like buyng dirrectly from Ross is the cheapest.
Although I did find piston/rod sets for a reasonable price @

Good deal if they come assembled. About $110 cheaper if I buy the rods from EBS and pistons from Ross.

You probably don't need pauter rods unless you're going wilder than I think you are. Good used stock 'S' pistons and rods like henry has will probably be your best bet on a budget.
