Valve Spring measuring spacer

I sent one to the original request and since have received several other requests for the same.

If more would like one of these simple spacers, I can make more. The first couple were free with shipping paid. I was happy to help.

If I was to make more, I would make them more presentable, anodized and sell plus shipping for whatever the cost to make is. If this is something more would want, I can figure out the cost of the material and the simple machine work.

When we measure the Spring Retainer height we use this same way on our bench tooling. For the DIY person, it can be done with the same tool used for measuring the lash. If you are trying to measure the Retainer height with the engine installed in the car, I think this is the best way. You can read the indictor on the outside of the engine. Not trying to read the height buried down in the cam housing.

I will write up simple instructions on how to use this when measuring with the engine in the car. The actual measuring is straight forward but the piston position is important. One position to hold the valve from dropping when removing the spring and fitting the saper, the other piston position when measuring the retainer height.
