964 3.8L build motor oil

Howdy,

What is the recommended motor oil to use on a 964 that has been bored to 3.8L?

I recently purchased and want to change the oil for obvious reasons but am unsure what is the best to run in here. Car is mostly canyon carver and street.

There several good oils, but the spec remains the same as for stock

for temps above 30F
10w-40, 15w-50, 15w-40 or 5w-40 syn : 5w-40 Shell TMO syn was the original factory fill except for early 964 which had 10w-30 TMO

20w-50

Just do some research as to the additive package, here you want ZDDP ~12-1300 ppm, more is ok, unless you care about the cat, but too much is also an issue, max ~1600+/-

going the other way is more of an issue but at least keep it above ~1000ppm

API SG was the category spec back in the day 964s were built, It's nla , so go by weight and additives

Thanks for the info, I will keep it in my mind. I also would like to help you by sharing the https://academized.com/ website with you. If you or anyone over here wants to hire an essay writer who has good reviews then you can visit the given link. Because I have already read reviews of that website and all of them are good. If you don't trust me then I can share a site with you where you will find reviews easily.
