It sounds like you discovered all of the items by feeling your way around .
By touch and smell , I would check to see if the lamp had any oil in it , and check for a wick. If yes on both parts then light the lamp . Now you have a reliable light source and steady flame . Now how long do you want to stay in the room and why?

Now you can contemplate the reasons for the claim that the M1 cam is the most versatile and best cam for CIS and general performance .

The M1 is also much like an endurance cam for the 935 engine .

The answer is simple....you light the match. I never stumble around in the dark.

As for the M1 cam: It is nothing special. Had some people who have specced and used it with nothing incredible to report. Hype is easy to sell to the gullible. Get over yourself.
