2.7L main bearings anywhere?

I need a set of standard size main bearings for a 2.7 (7R case out of a '77) and nobody seems to have any in stock. I tried calling Pelican, FCP Euro, Patrick Motorsports, EBS, Sierra Madre Collection, and some others places. They all said that they don't have any, they stopped carrying them, or their suppliers are all out.

That seems crazy. Anyone have leads on where to get a set?

Measure your old ones. If they are good, you do not need to replace them.

There have been out-of spec new bearings in the supply, so suppliers might have stopped carrying them until the quality issue gets fixed.

I have a set that was loaded but not run. I was going to use them in an early build but were tabbed for later 2.7.
PM for best response

Pete, unfortunately no old ones to reuse. This is a totally fresh build from a donor case. Good to know on the quality issue though.

Bruce, awesome shooting you a PM.

ACL makes rod bearings for 2.7L. I wonder if they make main bearings.

I haven't heard of ACL so I did some quick digging. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like they do. Bummer!

no they dont make mains... I have approached them a few times, but they have no interest in widening their range.

Try rose passion, design 911 uk, or FVD Brombacher. They’re all in Europe, but I’ve had good luck finding parts that no one has in stock in the US. Shipping hasn’t been too bad.

Thank you sir. I’ve seen Design 911 UK come up in search results but was a bit scared not knowing them and shipping overseas. Maybe they’ll have something.

We have them in stock.

We even have a plethora of weird sizes that are every difficult to find.
Example .50mm mains for 2.0-early 2.7 cases.
