911 SC flywheel question please

Hi everyone

I’m building a 76 911 with an later SC case 80-83, however the trans is a 78-81 915
Does it matter what flywheel I use. Where there different flywheels between 78-81

Thanks in advance

SC engine will have 9 bolt crank/flywheel, all SC’s were the same.

I think the only difference between early SC and later SC is that the early SC crankshaft didnt have the 3 threaded holes for the pilot bearing. The flywheel for early SC used a press in pilot bearing.

The later SC had a 3 bolt pilot bearing and the crank was drilled to accept the bolts. The flywheels are only different in terms of the mounting for the pilot bearing.
