Interesting clutch package on Ebay
Have any of you seen this clutch/flywheel package on EBay? Stay away.
I designed that light weight package 15 years ago and because I didn't trust QSC business ethics, I left off the last four steps of the CNC program. Sure enough, now they are marketing an item that hasn't been completed. Protecting a design is a good idea but seeing your design/plans bastardized by an unscrupulous company sucks. What sucks more is seeing people buying a product that I designed that doesn't work. ![]() Porsche 911 Clutch Kit 200mm 6-pad Ceramic Disc + Chromoly Flywheel

Thank you for sharing. As a shop, we would not look at QSC, especially after your exeriences, But thank your bringing this part to everyone's attention.
Cheers

Hah, I wonder if they figured out your code omission?

The program delete omissions are not easy to spot and QSC doesn't have the expertise.
Of course they could have hired someone to complete the process but that would make the flywheel cost prohibitive given the sale price. At least one of the deletions is visible in the posting.

How did they get access to the partially complete program?

Early in their history, QSC came to Supertec for some direction and advise. We were helping them develop some cost effective Porsche parts and it was rewarding watching some of my designs come to fruition. Most of the products were pretty good. Early on, I started seeing some divergence from the ethical practices I was accustom to.
When I discovered one of our products being sold through a third party, I confronted them and they said our agreement was not exclusive. My error for sure. If my designs were not going to be protected, I decided the limited production design would protect my design. Later in development, of one of their products (not my design) we noticed a major flaw. Cylinders were failing. We sent the failed cylinders to an aircraft failure analysis company who caught the design flaw. I sent those results to the manufacturer suggesting they scrap the existing inventory. When they continued to sell the product, we discontinued our relationship.
