Curil T and case sealer application temperatures

Is there a minimum application temperature for these sealants. The specs talk about minimum operating temps but nothing about "do not apply below -XX Deg". I'm going to put togethet my 2.2 case over the holidays. My garage is not heated so the temps could be in the 25-35 Deg F ranges. Will the cure time be extended by the low temps?

Can't speak for Curil, but 574 should not have problems at low temp - it hardens up when there is no air.

That said, I always prefer to let anything sealed with 574 at least a day to set up before I mess with it further.

You should not have serious problems building at low temps. However, be advised that some items that are press fit will be more difficult to get together at low temps.

Good timing, Steve, as I posted a similar question earlier this afternoon:

is it too cold in my garage for Loctite 574?

I just finished mating my case halves together less than a half hour ago in a cold (for NoCal) garage. I'm not anticipating any problems.

Time for me to crack that victory beer!

Jim, thanks. I did see your post a few weeks ago. We have been really lucky here the last week. The temps have been unseasonally warm (around 50 deg F) so I mated my case up last week. I needed something stronger than a beer after I'd finished. Talk about a stressful job. I found getting exerything done within the 45mins a push despite having as much laid out and pre assambled as possible. I don't know if the low temp has any influence on the cure despite 754 being cure by exclusion of air. However I did it. Cool experience when you stand back and see the case together at the end.
