Is this a 76 2.7 case?
OK, Finally got another picture for you guys to look at.
I have a 2.7 that I'm rebuilding. I think it has a '76 case even though my car is a '74. When I tore it down I noticed that the pressure relief pistons were the 76 and greater ones with the 76 oil pump. I'm trying to work out whether I need the oil bypass mod and now I'm thinking I do not. Take a look at this picture and give me your thoughts. ![]() Thanks, Tristan |

That looks a lot like my case, no mod needed. My case has a 74 nr, but is actually a later replacement case. It also featured the new oil pressure reliefe pistons and pump.

Your case also should have the hole in the bore identified by the arrow.

Peter,
Thanks for the confirmation. Yes, mine does have the hole through although it feels a lot like a slot. Tristan |
