935 engine
Hi all
here are a few questions about the 935 models : believe it or not..., a friend of mine is on the way to buy a desirable Porsche 935. It might be a real 935 (not factory car) Porsche delivered to some special customers, the car would have race the Le Mans 24 h. I (and him) try to collect some reliable informations about this cars : do you have one ? Engine type / serial number chassis number some specifications to proove it should be a real one..... many thanks Best regards Philippe |

Get the engine and serial number first, then it can be seen whether it's real or not. Many of these cars were delivered to race teams, so specifications can vary wildly. Take pictures, note all serial numbers and check with the owner about the history. Until you have more information from the actual car everything is guesswork.

With everything I've seen the factory cars are well documented - meaning chassis and engine numbers are well known. The customer cars get a little grey - sometimes you can find info on a chassis number but the engines are a little harder to find.
