I looked it up in the PET and the 964 and the 930 intermediate shafts have the same part # 930.107.143.03
The part # was superceded a few times but the latest one I found was that one.

EDIT: Brain fade, I was thinking the drive between the oil pump and the intermediate shaft for some reason. (Going senile.) The 930 and 964 intermediate shafts are listed differently so I can't tell if they are the same. The 964 intermediate shaft part/set includes the gear that goes on the crank shaft.

All you really need is the aluminum gear and these could be the same but there is no way to tell from the PET.

Look around for a good used one. 3.2's lunch their cranks on a regular basis which typically makes the motor worth more as parts so there should be intermediate shafts out there waiting for a home.

thanks again Chris. I was hoping to use the Inter shaft from this elusive 964 engine that i may see next week. my 930 one is showing lots of wear/pitting on the load side of the ally gear.

what happened at lime rock then Chris?

Sorry about the mixup. See my (edited) post above.

As one of my friends put it, I did a "narrow body conversion" to my car at Lime Rock - I flattened the whole left side when I hit the tire wall totalling the car back in Sept 2003. This month (over year later) the insurance company agreed to settle.

Andy - sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

The intermediate shaft I have is a '1' not the '0' you're looking for - however there's one just been listed in the Classifieds here :

Early Intermediate Shaft with All Gears, Type 'O', excellent shape!
