Can you put 23mm bushings in 3.0 rods?
3.0 rods have 22mm wrist pin bushings. I have a set of 98mm P/C for my 3.2SS, and they are made for a 3.4 (10.7:1 CR). Can I install 23mm bushings in 3.0 rods and make my 3.2 SS, or do I need to find specific 22mm-pin 98mm P/C? Thanks, Scott

3.2 and 3.0 pistons have a different wrist pin location.
If you put 23 mm 3.2 pistons on a 3.0 engine crank and rod combination you will loose compression because of the stroke change and the increased deck height measurement. You can install the bushing with an off set of .030 (we do this all the time) which will increase the piston height but you can't replace the swept area lost by the crank.

OK cool. 10.7 would come down to high 9's, correct? Would this be far from ideal ("ideal" being getting new Mahle 98mm for a 3.2SS..

Ok. Remember we moved so we have a new number.
