I've checked today the Factory technical bulletin tha's been given to Porsche dealers many years ago, about oil bypass mod.

the hole to drill is 3mm diameter according to Porsche specifications.
It seems to be small compared with the pics i've seen on this board....
What do you think about that ?

Look at Oil bypass modification

Just get the equiv metric plug (6mm) and a tap for it, Use a dremel to grind the start, then drill with a pistol drill, To tap for the plug you have to shorten the tap and grind some flat on it

I can't remember what size I used, but 12mm sounds a little big. That's almost 1/2"!! 6mm sounds closer, but I can't remember.

Tap means to install threads so you can screw in a pipe plug.

Drill the bypass hole about the same diameter as the hole you block , about 6mm. If you are not sure take the case to a machinist with some pictures of it and say block this hole and drill one thru to here. I started with a 3mm drill and then fept increasing until I got to 6mm
