Anyone sitting at a WoldPac etc. terminal that can cross a VW part # to anoth metric?

Sorry to clog the posts. I need a woodruff key for the cam sprocket part # N.012.708.2, but the Porsche/VW dealer is way accross town. I'll pass Jaguar, Range Rover, Nissan, Infinity dealers on the way home and come fairly close to a Mercedes Benz dealer.

Can anyone cross reference the 4x5mm woodruff key to any of those or other import brands?

The parts store I would usually hit up has closed up since I was there last.

I didn't want to waste my time with the hardware stores because they never have metric hardware.

If you can wait, I can send one to you. I could not fine the part online. I'll just put one in an evelope if the ACE around the corner has some in stock. I won't get to it until Sunday probably...you'll have to e-mail me on Sunday to remind me...I have terrible memory

I appreciate the offer, but I'll break down and go to Pat Williams (the dealer and the other repair shop don't have them). I can't believe a $.50 piece of hardware has cost me a nights work, caused me to tear apart my garage, visit 3 stores, make a half-dozen calls and now I'm going to have to drive accross town and beg for one.

I did get someone to run the cross-reference and it didn't get any other hits. A web search suggested that an RX-7 may have a 4x5mm, but the number wasn't any good to the dealer. I could swear that I got one of these at the Range Rover/Jaguar dealer before if I could only figure out the number.

Maybe I'll get really lucky and the one I'm missing is sitting on top of an intake valve.
