3.0 Injection Options

Im wanting to upgrade my 2.4 with a 3.0 engine mainly for reliablity and the longevity of the 3.0 case also with the added bonus of an increase in horses. However im not a big fan of CIS, Im looking at replaing this with either the injection system off my 2.4 MFI which I have previously posted about, or the motronic EFI from the 3.2 as I know of a local breaker that as a full motronic system minus brain for a very reasonable sum! I was just curious if I keept the 3.0 stock would it cause problems with the pistons as these are specially shaped I belive to run with CIS injection?

Also will the will the motronic fit the 3.0 engine and what modifications would I need to make if any?

Steve

TBITZ EFI. Use your CIS components and upgrade it to EFI. Cheapest and easiest injection option for CIS, period:

The Bitz kit is full on plug and play. Rebuilding your 2.4 MFI to 3.0 specs will easily cost more than double the EFI kit. Search the threads and be enlightened.

Yup. You can even put in more aggressive cams than CIS supports.
