2.2T - 2.4T Conversion advice needed
I have a 70T engine with these parts ready for Wayne's 2.2-2.4 higher compression engine.
My case does NOT have piston squirters or the oil-bypass surgery. How critical is this to do, and can someone recommend a reasonable machine shop to do it? Just any advice for this particular upgrade would be helpful. Michael 69T Roller ![]()

I re-used a lot of my intake valves and springs.A T-engine doesn't see a high-revving life. Use your best judgement, and that of your "Porsche" machine shop as advice. As for case squirters, personally, I'd say yes. Are you going to DE the car? If so, temps will get up there. Not just oil temps, but intenal temps. This is something that will extend the life of your engine. Heat kills.
I used a local guy to Chicago, so I can't comment on machine shop. Good luck....beautiful car!

When you get the heads done the shop will let you know which valves are reusable. They can also test your springs to see if they are within spec. Inre: your case. I don't know the machine shops on the east coast but Ollies out here has tons of happy customers. Me included. That is a beautiful car. I love the T trim. It would make a great bookend for my Signal Orange Targa. ![]()
