short stroke 3.2 intake
I have a dedicated track car, an SC 1980 with a short stroke 3.2, with 98mm Mahle P/C's. Engine is out for a scheduled rebuild. Twin plug, 10:1, CIS, 964 cams, headers, MSD, Carillo rods, 964 pump, bored throttle body, big runners, alum flywheel. Engine has been in this configuration for six years, and I would like to consider what a 3.2 intake and Motronic with a more radical cam might do to add a little more zip next year. Would have to either deepen the valve pockets or have new pistons made to get clearance.
Last dyno on this engine (about 140 hrs ago) was 231hp at the rear wheels which is a lot of fun in a 2100# car. Any thoughts are welcomed. Gary |

I don't know if folks have used anything more radical than the 20/21 cams with the Carrera intake, but the more agressive you go...the more you should consider individual throttle bodies. Here's our solution:

Souk, ya beat me to it. ITBs all the way. You never had throttle response like this before...just ask Mike Bonkalski.
