CDS Wiring Question

A little help please.
I have three connections that I am not clear on their proper positions.

The blue box is obviously my CDS which I had detached so the pix can be more easily seen.

A & B are the male connectors at the bottom of the CDS.

#1 is a female connector, is from the engine wiring harness and is cold in the start position. Wire color is black.

#2 is a male connector and is HOT in the start position. Wire color is red and originates at the engine compartment fuse panel.

#3 is a female connector and is cold in the start position. Wire color is orange and originates at the engine compartment fuse panel.
