The rubber wire loom cover is stock.
We may have found the reason for the broken rings. The picture is of a waste gate that was improperly assembled. It looks like this waste gate could not have performed as designed. Broken rings  Before  Note the misshapen diaphram   After

Thanks for the response Henry, however the availability of the QSC/JE combo from a particular Pelican supplier has changed my engine rebuild plans
