Does this look right?
I had case savers installed by some air freight mail order outfit in Michigan. I think I can bend the rods to get the cylindars on, but I dont think I should have to do that. Any thoughts?
Also, what all so I have to do to put a turbo on an otherwise stock 2.7? ![]()

That sucks. They have ruined your case. I think I could have done better free hand with a hand drill. All you can do is try to get your money back and enough for a replacement case. Might end up in small claims court. If you paid by credit card you can dispute the bill and probably at least get your money back. (make sure you do it in writing).
I know some people have turbo charge 2.7 engines but I think it's a bad idea. If you want a turbo use an aluminum case engine. -Andy

You're kidding right? I hope you are because that is beyond bad. The pic looks like the case savers havn't been installed and the studs are just in the bare hole. I feel like someones pulling my leg.

OMG, that looks like it was done with a hand drill instead of a mill. I've seen a 2,7 case one that was slightly "purcupined" but not like that. I'd say they owe you another case and don't let them touch anything else of yours.
I hate to take business away from someone trying to make a living but whonever worked on your case should not be allowed to butcher anymore Porsche stuff. I can't imagine any place calling itself a machine shop would do a job like that. I would trust a (real) machine shop that had never even heard of Porsche to do the case savers. The rest of the stuff that usually needs to be done to a 2.7 really needs the attention of someone familiar with these cases IMO. -Chris

Since this case is sitting on a mill table, I think we are getting our leg's pulled. Or at least I HOPE we are. Studs are just sitting in there without inserts, gotta be...
