alusil Mahle jugs??

Does anyone out there know if Mahle ever made any alusil cylinders (90 mm 2.7) ??? I saw some advertised and was under the asumption that kolbenschmidt made alusil and mahle were nikasil. any info would be greatly apprectiated.

Kolbenschmidt made Alusil and Mahle made Silamal.
Both are a version of Reynolds Silacite.

What years were the Mahle Silamils used in? Can you tell them from the Nikasils from the outside?

So should I should assume that they have the same issues with re-ringing as the alusils ?????

I am not certain they ever came in Porsche as standard equipment. I think they were sold a replacement for 74-77 only.

They should have the same re-ringing ploblems as Alusil.
