2.4 MFI Engine Rebuilding Mentor???

Is there anyone in the Washington DC area that has rebuilt multiple Porsche Engines that would be willing to pass on their knowledge and skills to a student? If I were willing to bring a complete running 2.4 MFI engine and the funds to rebuild it, is there anyone that would mentor me through the process? I have rebuilt a VW engine or two but that's the extent of my skills. I sure we could work out some monetary reimbursement for your time.

Thanks.

Eric

Really all you need to rebuild your engine is Wayne Dempseys' book "How To Rebuild And Modify Your 911 Engine" and this board.

Okay maybe a few tools as well but really that's all you need. Waynes book lays it all out for you in a nice methodical manner and any questions you may have along the way can be answered add nauseum by this board.

It's not rocket science. It's basically disassembly, close inspection, measurement of tolerances, machine shop work, replacement parts and reassembly.

I rebuilt a 2.4T motor using Waynes book as a guide and it came out perfect with no leaks and ran great.
