Cam Timing Question
I just did the cam timing on my 3.2 ss with sport cams. The cams were suppossed to be timed at 1.4 to 1.7 and I got them timed to 1.6 on one side and 1.65 on the other side. I just wanted to confirm that these values should be attained once you get to Z1 after rotating the crank 360 degrees. If I go past 160 degrees the dial indicator continues past the set values. Is that normal? This sounds confusing so in essence, is I keep turning the cranshaft past 360, will the dial gauge continue to move past the 1.6 or 1.65 I set the cam to?

The 1.6/1.65mm at TDC is the intake valve beginning to open. Continuing to rotate the crank and with it the cam will continue to open the intake valve until it is fully open.
So what you are seeing is perfectly normal.
