You can but then you will not use the accel distributor. You can either use a 964 dizzy or a custom billet unit with a 12 plug cap. You could go other routes, but that is a simple method.

Yeah I know the dizzy route, I want to go with crankfired or crank referenced sans dizzy. Maybe Tec3r, haltech, ms II, something along those lines with 6 coilpacks firing two plugs each, tps, map, air temp and O2 sensor.

I am using a custom crank trigger for crank refrence and using a JB racing distributor for my cam sensor. Before this I just ran the single plug accel distributor. There are several ways to go about it this made the most sense to me. I would have used a 964 distributor for cost reasons, but my turbo is very large so the 964 and intercooler pipe would not work.

as long as you have a 12 pin crank trigger and a single pin trigger for cam sync like what clewett sells for the back of the drivers side cam tower, then you just need a ecu that has six ignition drivers, then use you can use some chevy ls1 coils sice they have built in ignigtors, and run direct fire or run dual pole coils and run batch fire, and dont bother with a distributer.
i use autronic ecus

Its narrowed down to Haltech or Autronic. Either going to use Haltech coilpacks with the Haltech or Bosch with either brain. Both come with software, wire harness, wire harness, computer cable and are capable of doing what is needed.
More info soon Has anyone here used an Autronic ECU with the Autotune feature?
