3.0L Rebuild - Internal Crack...advice needed
Hi All-
After running the case through several cleaning cycles, I noticed an internal crack, or more appropriately, a missing piece of the case. I believe it's the external portion (internal to the case) of an oil pressure relief tube housing the relief spring. (I'll verify this location tomorrow as I'm not fully certain). In any event, has anyone else run into such a situation? Suggestions, stories, fixes are extremely welcome! Thanks in advance, --Kevin |

Check the archives...we've all got it! Looks like crap and I couldn't believe its normal, but there you are.
Here's another string...pretty sketchy looking tho, I agree! Damage inside engine case

Thanks for the reply, John...I'd never imagined many others had the same issue. Guess I'll go with the norm and leave as is...
Thanks again, --Kevin |
