3.0L Rebuild - Internal Crack...advice needed
Hi All-
After running the case through several cleaning cycles, I noticed an internal crack, or more appropriately, a missing piece of the case. I believe it's the external portion (internal to the case) of an oil pressure relief tube housing the relief spring. (I'll verify this location tomorrow as I'm not fully certain). ![]() In any event, has anyone else run into such a situation? Suggestions, stories, fixes are extremely welcome! Thanks in advance, --Kevin |

Check the archives...we've all got it! Looks like crap and I couldn't believe its normal, but there you are.
Here's another string...pretty sketchy looking tho, I agree! Damage inside engine case

Thanks for the reply, John...I'd never imagined many others had the same issue. Guess I'll go with the norm and leave as is...
Thanks again, --Kevin |
