location of intermediate shaft size stamp on case

hi all.

I'm trying to figure the sizing on my case for a new shaft but i can't find the case stamp.

the factory manual says "beneath the alternator mount on left side of case".

Can anyone be more specific or show a picture please?

the code is hear on the case



you could have a "0" or a "1" stamped there as to what was fitted from new.

Here's the only marking I found in the area described. Would you consider that a 1?

When I needed a new gear on my intermediate shaft I found that only one size was available. It's been a couple of years but it seemed to me that unless you have 1's on both the crank gear and the case you can use a Zero gear. The rule is specified in the factory manual.

actually if you do have 1's on both the crank and case then you CAN use a 0 gear. Here's the table:
