Chain Tensioner Install question
I am preparing to install my chain tensioners(3.2 motronic engine) . The tensioners do not have a pin to hold the piston low enough to allow it to be installed without hitting the sprocket.
Wayne's book shows a pin that I do not have. Two questions: Where can I buy the pins (can't find them on Pelican) Is there another way to install them without the pin? I'm pretty jazzed this morning. I finished timing the #1 and #4 intakes and got them both dead on at 1.26mm!!! Than

If you can find one that fits, you can just use a small nail.

A 6d nail seems to be a decent sit, but it does not hold the piston down low enough. Anyone else have issues installing the tensioners?
I'm dying to get these in so I can check the valve clearance. T

I figured it out
I checked Wayne's book more carefully and noticed the OEM Pin caught the top of the piston.
The nail did not work because it did not catch the top of the piston. I bent a coat hanger and I am now in business. This is the nail option: This is the coat hanger:

Sorry the nail didn't work, worked good for me.

I think it would have worked better if I had put a little bend in it, but I had the coat hanger handy from some powder coating.
Thanks for the help. Than

I used drill bits...increase in 1/32 inc. until you can't fit it in the hole, worked for me.
