locating FPR on carrera, this look like a good spot?

I'll try over here in the engine forum.

you guys think this is a decent spot for a FMU? I imagine not many around here go this route with a rising rate FPR. But tell me anyway if you think this a decent spot

			Hi Jerry,

I have not done this to my Porsche, but in general, I think it's better to keep it on the firewall. If using a fuel return line, this would be less critical. I put a blower kit on my 94 GMC truck, and the instructions had me put it on the firewall (note: Had fuel return line). All the ones I've seen on American hot rods have been on the firewall (not: Most with no fuel return line). Reasons I can think of: Cooler fuel, less vibration, less heat soak after shutting down. Good Luck! Doug

my thinking was this, the stock fpr is about 6 inches away from here so it seems like a good spot, I'm using the rubber mounts from the heater blower and it runs inline from the rail return to hard line return to the tank. Hopefully the turbo inlet/filter covers it up some, it looks like a spaceship.

Anyway, it's all plumbed up and running now with fully adjustable idle pressure. I haven't installed the turbo yet. I just let it run to check things. thanks for the reply |
