What kind of HP does this set up make??

Does anyone have the engine set up in Wayne's book pg 113 as described as follows:
High Performance 3.0L: Remove cis injectiom & replace with
carbs - replace cis pistons with high compression JE
pistons - use early S cams - ssi with sport exhaust.

If anyone has this set up, what are the specifics you are running and how is the "vital" THROTTLE RESPONSE you have?High Performance 3.0L:

any thoughts on running tbitz f/i vs. running carbs? **key engine parameters: throttle response, 91 pump gas, single plug**

About 240HP, from cross multiplying 160HP @ 2 liters (carbed S cam motor) to 3 liters.

Wayne,
Can you share with us the details of your engine? You say "just about". What does this mean?
What internals did you do?
Is this HP at the flywheel or at the wheels?
What is your gas mileage - min octane required - throttle response?
Anything you should of done that would of helped performance?
Running webers or PMO? What size, jetting...?
Thanks alot!! This maybe the engine to fit my resto...and to buy more parts from Pelican!

240-250Hp is about right. I had a similar configuration in the racecar with ported heads and a compression bump making about 260...
