Help Identifying 2.0 P & Cs

I have recently come into possession of a set of Mahle pistons and cylinders as well as a set of heads. I am particularly interested in identifying the pistons and cylinders.

I was told by the seller that he thought they were out of an early 2.0 liter S motor. They appear to be Mahle cylinders. They are aluminum with steel sleeves. There are 6 cooling fins per inch. There is a part number on one side of the piston and it shows to be 80 ZD 3.

The pistons are also aluminum and inside the piston I can barely make out a part number 80P266.

Aside from a very small ding on the top of one piston, (outside the valve area) the entire set appears to be in very good condition.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes It may well be an S piston 1967-68...from the valve pockets.

A shot inside it will tell us if its forged.

Kind regards
David
