996 Cranks but won't Start

Porsche 996 cranks but won't start. After turning the ignition key on and off many times I could only hear the fuel pump prime once. Tried spaying starting fluid directly into the engine car cranks but not start.Any suggestions in trying to diagnose would be appreciated.

Well if it was one of our older cars I'd suspect the DME relay. If 996's use DME that's the pace to start.
You should probably try this question in the technical section as well.
